Students Tour Huntingdon

High school students enrolled in the Public Health and Safety program at the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center toured SCI Huntingdon on Oct. 29. Their instructor is Crist Fellman, a former corrections officer at SCI Huntingdon.
This is the fourth year Huntingdon has hosted this group. As part of their studies, the students are learning about all aspects of the criminal justice system. This is the third tour for some of the students, and, according to Fellman, they look forward to visiting every year. Staff members met with the group after the tour, and there were many questions about mental health treatment, gangs in prisons and restricted housing procedures.
