Waymart Celebrates Volunteer of the Year

On Nov. 16, SCI Waymart proudly honored Nina Sorochynskyj from the Happy Paws School for Dogs as Volunteer of the Year for 2023. Volunteer Coordinator Joseph Kolakowski noted that Waymart appreciates Nina's hard work providing dog training programs for the inmates. He said this program is valuable for many reasons, including that it brings joy to the participating inmates but also teaches them the value of volunteerism and giving back to the community. Sorochynskyj thanked Waymart for allowing this program to continue after a pause during the pandemic.
