Fayette Holds Veterans Day Ceremony

On Nov. 7, SCI Fayette held a Veterans Day program to provide a better understanding of Veterans Day to inmates and staff members. The program allowed approximately 35 inmates who have served in the military to attend and hear motivational presentations relevant to their service in the U.S. military. Retired Fayette Superintendent/Command Sergeant Major Eric Armel was the guest speaker for the ceremony. Armel enlisted into the Army in 1992 as a combat engineer. He was promoted through the ranks and was most recently appointed Command Sergeant Major for 1-80th Engineer BN in July 2023.
