Seminary Students Begin Visitation at Waymart

Students from St. Tikhon’s Seminary have begun their visitation to SCI Waymart for the fall/winter 2023 semester. They will spend every Wednesday afternoon visiting the mental health units under the direction of Father John Kowalczyk (chaplain), the geriatric units under the direction of Deacon Matt (chaplain) and general population under the direction of Rabbi Kolakowski (chaplaincy program director).
This year begins the 35th year of this program with SCI Waymart.
Father Kowalczyk is the director of the Field Education Program at St. Tikhon’s Seminary in South Canaan and was recently appointed assistant professor of pastoral theology.
