Coal Township Partners with eCornell for Pilot Program

Eleven inmates at SCI Coal Township successfully completed coursework and earned certificates in Business Management Essentials from eCornell. This opportunity was provided through a pilot program in partnership with Coal Township and eCornell, and it aimed to provide secure, consistent and nationally scalable access to Ivy League education virtually. Participants from Coal Township provided feedback which will help guide phase two of this pilot program, which will be introduced in New York state prisons.
