For the month of November, Scranton CCC’s in-house population collected more than $1,100 worth of toys for Toys for Tots in Northeastern PA, which collects new toys and distributes them to children in need. The original Toys for Tots project was founded in 1947 by Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks, and it became a nonprofit public charity at the behest of the Marine Corps in 1991.

The SCCC SDTP non-resident population also chipped in to lend a hand, donating more than $500 worth of toys.

Once again, reentrants and staff alike came together to make this an even more successful collection drive.
