On July 19, Bureau of Community Corrections employees held a meet-and-greet at the Wernersville Community Correction Center with State Rep. Barry Jozwiak and representatives from his office in Berks County, as well as representatives from the Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association (PSCOA) and a representative from the DOC’s Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs.  Director Michael Wenerowicz, Center Director Anne Barton and Center Director Randy Lauffer provided an overview of reentrants housed on the WCCC campus and shared information regarding the programs offered at the WCCC and the population statistics of the facilities. The overview was followed by a question-and-answer session to provide clarification related to the overall operations of the WCCC. At the conclusion of the Q & A period, a tour of the entire campus was conducted which included both housing units, Building 18 and Building 30. The meeting was very productive and provided the opportunity for all involved parties to meet face-to-face, get an overview of the reentry program at WCCC and exchange contact information.
