Chester Hosts Graduation for 41 Incarcerated Students

After a two-year, in-person graduation hiatus, SCI Chester honored and celebrated 41 incarcerated graduates on June 23 with staff, family, outside partners, universities and colleges. Twenty students earned certifications and/or licenses in barbering, HVAC, ICDL, and/or building trades, 13 students earned their GED or Commonwealth Secondary Diploma (CSD), five students — plus a four-legged student, Smoke — earned a personal trainer certification through the U Lift U program, one student earned his personal trainer certification through correspondence coursework and two earned their legal reference aide certification.
All who were in attendance could not have been prouder of the graduates and look forward to supporting their continued success.
