Cambridge Springs Inmates Celebrate 143 Day by Honoring Mr. Rogers, Spreading Kindness

Inmates at SCI Cambridge Springs enthusiastically participated in a charitable event to celebrate “143 Day” in May. Inmates donated non-perishable food items and personal care products to Community Shelter Services in Erie. The shelter provides support to local families in need to help them get back on their feet.
Collection boxes were placed on each inmate housing unit, and inmates were encouraged to decorate the boxes to commemorate the kindness and compassion of Mr. Rogers. Inmates purchased non-perishable and hygiene items from the commissary to donate.
A total of 14 boxes were filled with various food and personal care items and dropped off at Community Shelter Services on June 14.
