Safety Division Holds FERT Training

The DOC Safety Division held its Basic Fire Emergency Response Team class at the State Fire Academy in Lewistown the week of April 18. New FERT members from state and county institutions participated in this training. The class is designed for entry level FERT members to understand the basic principles needed to respond to institutional emergencies. Students participate in two days of classroom education and two days of skill stations, including a live fire exercise.
