Waymart Muralist Paints Mural to Support Ukraine

SCI Waymart employees had a unique idea to show their support for Ukraine. Activities Manager Troy Walsh and the 18-staff member Mural Committee came up with the idea of a mural. An inmate muralist painted this piece in support of Ukraine with a hope for peace. This artwork is hung on the wall outside the staff dining room which is a focal point of the institution.
Additionally, Sandra Riggers-Presnell and Blakely American Legion Post 570 organized the collection of items in need in Ukraine, such as pain relievers, first aid supplies, dry Pedialyte, antacids, diaper rash cream, new children’s clothes, non-perishable food and adult army boots.
