Bureau of Community Corrections Region 3 office staff originally decided to take part in the Office of Victim Advocate Pajama Drive for Foster Children scheduled to take place in the spring—then the pandemic hit. Staff was unable to take part in the original pajama drive.

But they did not let a little COVID-19 get in the way of our desire to help the children in their region.

During the pajama drive of 2019, staff decided they would pick a different county in the region for the 2020 drive to assist children in need. The county of choice this year was Washington County. After speaking with Washington County Children, Youth and Family Services, Region 3 employees are donating 25 pajama sets, two infant sets with cute little caps and 10 awesome pair of slippers to the Christmas Drive for Children.

Washington County CYFS will be wrapping the sets of new PJs and slippers for the children in need.

Region 3 leaders were thankful the donations from staff are able to go to such a worthy cause, and maybe make a child's Christmas not only a little brighter, but also snuggly and warm.

Thanks to Field Investigator Linda Eshelman for organizing this event.
