PSP, Mercer Partner on Landing Zone Training

On Oct. 23, the Fire Emergency Response Team at SCI Mercer participated in a Landing Zone training with the Pennsylvania State Police. PSP pilots flew their helicopter from their Franklin hangar to Mercer. After the helicopter landed, PSP Sgt. Andrasko gave a brief landing zone training to the FERT and explained the helicopter’s state-of-the-art technology that assists with daily missions. Sgt. Andrasko explained the many uses of the PSP aviation section from searching for escaped criminals to locating a lost hunter.
