Scranton Agents Support Local Wellness Festival

​On Sept. 14, Scranton District Office STRIVE agents and participants attended the third annual Stop the Stigma Wellness Festival hosted by the Willow Foundation and New Roots Recovery Center at Kings College. Agent Bainbridge, Agent Jones and Community Reentry Parole Agent Brotzman maintained a table for the DOC, while STRIVE participants attended to support the event. The goal of the festival is to de-stigmatize mental health challenges and substance use disorder, as well as build connections, re-connect with allies and advocates, show support and work to break the stigma around addiction and mental health.

STRIVE stands for State Transition Reentry Incentive Validating Endeavors and is a partnership aimed at assisting reentrants in making a successful return to the community.
