SECA Season Kicks Off with Events Throughout DOC

The DOC is regularly a huge supporter of the State Employee Combined Appeal, and as the 2023 campaign begins, facilities throughout PA are holding special events to raise donations.

SCI Somerset held a catchy “For the Price of a Cup of Coffee, Have Coffee on Us” event on Sept. 14 in the staff dining room. This was a fun play on the common fundraising expression and a tangible way to see how much good can be done “for the price of coffee.” Iced and regular coffee were available along with special flavors and syrups.

SCI Waymart went a similar route by offering a “Have a Drink on Us” event on Sept. 12 and 13. Employees could swing by for an iced or hot coffee, hot tea, hot cocoa or apple cider, along with muffins. The event was held to thank employees for their generous support of SECA.
