20 Employees Graduate Regional Basic Training

Basic Training at the DOC Training Academy is at capacity with new employees, leaving little room for certain classifications to attend mandatory training. To solve this issue, the DOC has started Regional Basic Training at SCI Frackville to allow everyone the opportunity to get their training in a timely manner.
In August, 20 students graduated Frackville’s Regional Basic Training course. Graduates were from SCI Dallas, SCI Coal Township, SCI Muncy, SCI Mahanoy and SCI Frackville, and jobs included nurses, counselors, teachers, administrative personnel and a chaplain.
