Scranton CCC Donates to United Neighborhood Center

During the month of July, Scranton Community Corrections Center (SCCC) collected donation items for United Neighborhood Centers (UNC) of NEPA in Scranton. The items collected included backpacks, notebooks, folders, paper, pens and pencils, crayons, lunch boxes, etc.-- totaling a value of $840.
Established in 1923, UNC is one of the area's largest and longest running, non-profit organizations. UNC serves local low-income families, seniors, youth, and new immigrants, while also empowering them to attain self-sufficiency. The organization’s wide array of programs is continuously adjusted and transformed to fill the gaps that exist in local services.
