SCI Huntingdon Hosts Reentry Fair

In May, SCI Huntingdon hosted a reentry fair. More than 200 inmates participated in the event. The men had the opportunity to talk with 10 different service providers. Some of these organizations included: CenClear, Department of Human Services, PACE Program, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Tomorrow’s Neighbors, PA Department of Banking (Reentry Services), and Penn State (Restorative Justice Initiative). Huntingdon’s library and social workers also had booths at the event. PSS Jason Helsel was there to teach attendees how to tie a necktie. To prepare inmates for the fair, the Education Department/RSO hosted various workshops for resume writing and job searching/applications prior to the event.
