Captain Scott Cronauer Appointed Drug Interdiction K9 Unit Captain

Captain Scott Cronauer has been selected as the Drug Interdiction K9 Unit Captain. Cronauer has several years of experience in the Department of Corrections and has been a member of Special Teams. Cronauer began his correction career in April 1996 at SCI Houtzdale as a CO1 and then later transferred to SCI Pine Grove in 2000 after it opened. In 2003, Cronauer became a member of the Hostage Rescue Team. He was promoted to Sergeant in August 2005, promoted to Lieutenant in 2007 and then promoted to Captain in May 2016. Major Daniel G. McMahon said, "I have no doubt that Captain Cronauer will take the Drug Interdiction K9 Unit to the next level and will continue the 'Customer Service' approach to serve your needs to curve the drug issues inside our facilities."
