Smithfield Hosts Reentry Career Fair

SCI Smithfield hosted its annual Career Reentry Fair for 180 inmates on June 13. Twenty-two agencies—both from the Commonwealth and private businesses—were represented to speak to inmates about their services for the inmates upon release. One even taught inmates how to tie a tie. The agencies included Justice Works, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, It's About Change, CareerLink, Sound Community Solutions and PA Department of Banking and Securities, among others.
The inmates were appreciative of the information and contacts they made.
