SCI Forest Holds Graduation for 87 Inmates

On Sept. 12 and 13, SCI Forest held graduation ceremonies to celebrate the academic achievements of 87 incarcerated students. The events were broken down by zone with graduates from the East zone of the facility honored on Sept. 12 and wearing white caps and gowns, while graduates from the West zone were on Sept. 13 wearing green.
Deputy Superintendent of Centralized Services Ian Gustafson served as the guest speaker. Six inmates received Commonwealth School Secondary Diplomas (CSSD); 2 received General Education Diploma (GED) and the rest received vocational diplomas in the following trades: Auto Technology, Building Trades, Business Education, CDL, Custodial Maintenance, Electricity, Welding and Masonry.
