Waymart Chaplains Shine at DTS Audit

​On Sept. 12, auditors from the Division of Treatment Services (DTS) converged at SCI Waymart for its audit of Religious Services. Rev. John Caudle (SCI Muncy) assisted DTS auditor Rev. Ulli Klemm as they interviewed inmates, toured segregated units and reviewed documentation. Waymart chaplains on site on the day of the audit included Rabbi Joseph Kolakowski; Deacon Matthew Lorent; and Rev. Guy Giordano.

Incarcerated individuals at Waymart had nothing but positive things to say about their chaplaincy staff and how attentive, caring and helpful they are in accommodating religious practice. Waymart accommodates 10 different religious expressions with communal meeting times. It was the first SCI to contract with an Asatru/Odinist Contract Chaplain in the person of Gothi Robert Hamlin.
