VA/Wilkes-Barre Center for Development and Civic Engagement Specialists: Lisa Urban & Louis Smith with donated items

Throughout January, the Scranton CCC collected items for “The Welcome Kit Project,” which provides veterans in the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center’s Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (SARRTP) with a kit of tools and resources to help them stay sober. Kits contain items including adult coloring books, colored pencils, highlighters, notebooks, word puzzles, snacks, candy and gum.

The residents of Scranton CCC collected more than $1,000 worth of items!
