On Sept. 6, members of SCI Mercer’s administrative team volunteered at the local Community Food Warehouse in Sharon, PA, where the group packed boxes for the Warehouse’s mobile pantry. The Community Food Warehouse has three mobile pantry sites that they visit monthly located in Mercer, Fredonia, and Hermitage.

Warehouse Development Coordinator Alexis Spence-Locke said, “They actually were so amazing that in addition to the 400 hundred boxes that they packed for Mobile Pantry — which was created with the intent of providing access to food to those living in rural and underserved areas — they also helped pack an additional 260 boxes for our Military Share program, which is a private food distribution for veterans and active military personnel, and finally they helped sort and pack non-food and food boxes that will be sent to our 30 member agencies, which include homeless shelters, churches, and childcare centers.”
