Mahanoy Hosts Local Firefighters for Safety Tour

SCI Mahanoy took an innovative approach to institutional safety on March 22. Lt. Ryan Reese, critical incident manager, and Greg Fabrizio, safety manger, invited the Mahanoy City Fire Chief and his officers to familiarize themselves with the general fire operations of SCI Mahanoy. Staff members from other institutions also participated in the training. There was a short period of instructions, questions and answers and a tour of the institution showing the firefighters locations of hydrants, shut-offs and other points of interest in the event of an emergency response at Mahanoy. The collaboration between the institution and the firefighters has added an extra layer of preparative safety measures that we hope we never need.
