Phoenix Announces May Employee of the Month is Agent Matos

Parole Agent 2 Joanna Matos has been with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections for four years, first at SCI Graterford and then SCI Phoenix. Matos currently serves as an Institutional Parole Agent.

Matos was nominated for her willingness to constantly go above and beyond to help each and every person in the institution. She ensures the orderly operation of the East Side Parole office and is responsible for training each of the three new agents that have arrived in the last six months, all while completing her own docket work. She is the constant go-to person who never turns away a question.

Matos's service and commitment to this organization are exceptional, and she can always be relied upon to go that extra step in order to complete assignments. Her dedication and professionalism are admirable.

Joanna Matos is truly a valuable asset to the Commonwealth and to SCI Phoenix.
