Jeff Bond, from Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers, visited Community Corrections Center # 2 in Philadelphia to present to commuted lifers a one-time assistance contribution that was sponsored by the End Violence Project.

Each commuted lifer was given a $100 gift card to purchase anything they need as well as a $50 SEPTA reloadable travel pass. Bond (pictured below second from right, wearing black hat) also delivered clothing to the center, which was offered to the commuted lifers as well as other reentrants housed at CCC2.

The commuted lifers were very thankful for the donations, and it is encouraging to see community partners reaching out to them to assist in the reentry process. DOC Counselor Piorko has been instrumental in connecting the commuted lifers with resources and community partners to make sure they have everything they need to facilitate their transition back into the community.
