Earlier in December, SCI Phoenix Activities Manager C. Grassley heard about Philabundance being under a cyberattack that took place over the summer. The organization was scammed out of nearly $1 million. Philabundance is a non-profit food bank that serves the Greater Philadelphia region and Delaware Valley of Pennsylvania.

Grassley proposed the idea to the NAACP/Real Street Talk and LACEO inmate organizations and explained the mission of Philabundance.

The members of the inmate organizations were receptive to moving forward with the initiative, making a donation of $3,000, and they are proud to assist organizations and communities in need.
