The
Smithfield garment shop is one of seven garment factories throughout the State
Correctional Institutions. The DOC
Garment Operations produces clothing items for inmates and Correctional
Officers as well as to many State Agencies, County and Municipal customers.
Smithfield
Garments manufactures lined denim release jackets, lined cotton duck jackets,
unlined work jackets and lined corduroy coats.
Smithfield is currently producing the Correctional Officer’s winter wear
jackets. The Smithfield garment factory
currently employs 49 inmate workers.
