BUTLER COUNTY PRISON WARDEN

The County of Butler is seeking a Warden for the Butler County Prison (ADP 325).  The Warden serves under the direction of the Butler County Prison Board, and is primarily responsible for planning and supervising the work of employees engaged in the operation of the County Prison, with emphasis on the maintenance of security and the responsibility for the health and safety of staff, visitors, and incarcerated persons.

Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent training and experience is preferred; Considerable experience in a correctional and/or law enforcement institution or agency which included some supervisory experience; Significant experience as an executive level manager in a “Direct Supervision” correctional facility preferred.
