Corrections Health Care Administrator
The State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale (SCI Houtzdale) is seeking a highly motivated Corrections Health Care Administrator to join our Medical Department.
As a Corrections Health Care Administrator, you would be responsible for the overall coordination of primary and emergency health care services which includes monitoring the delivery of medical/mental/pharmaceutical services to inmates as well as rendering emergency care to staff. These services are performed under contract to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections via three separate and distinct contracts. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the staff of all medical departments to include nursing, dental, medical records, and vendor staff to include physicians, psychiatrists, CRNP's, PA-C's, phlebotomists, and other support staff.

Monday through Friday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; 37.5 hour work week; eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55

Required Experience, Training and Eligibility
Six years of professional medical experience in the care and treatment of the physically ill, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital infirmary, and a bachelor's degree in a health related field; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary
