In honor of Black History Month, which is usually celebrated in February, inmates of SCI Coal Township, in coordination with the staff of the Chaplaincy and Activities Departments, held a concert on the evening of March 26.
The inmates performed vocal and instrumental selections in the gym.
The musical program consisted of five inmates performing different songs from various African American artists. Some of the songs performed were I Write a Song by Earth Wind and Fire, You Used to Be My Girl by the O'Jays, Ain't No Stopping Us Now by McFadden and Whitehead and Still Here by the Williams Brothers.
