SCI Benner Township

Psychological Services Specialist and Mental Health Coordinator Gracanne Dreibelis-Drapcho began her DOC career at SCI Benner Township in 2013. In her five years of service she has distinguished herself in a way most others only hope to emulate. She serves as mental health coordinator at the prison, which is one of the 14 sites designated across the DOC to house seriously mentally ill inmates.

She acts as a liaison with the psychiatric provider and coordinates care for more than 2,000 inmates, 800 of whom are on the mental health roster and 300 of whom are designated as seriously mentally ill. Gracanne spends a fair amount of time coordinating care for those who are experiencing a crisis event in psychiatric observation cells and ensuring inmates are seen by the Psychiatric Review Team to create Individual Recovery Plans to guide treatment.

Gracanne was nominated for the DOC's Outstanding Performance Award in 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in community and corrections mental health care and delivery. She has been a licensed professional counselor since 2003.
