Bureau of Community Corrections facilities across the Commonwealth celebrated Corrections Employees Week in a variety of fun ways!

At Erie CCC, staff held a potluck complete with smoked meats.

Pittsburgh CCC embraced Corrections Employee Week by having a “swap” day: Center Director Dotson and Corrections Counselor 2 Marhefka dressed up as monitors for the day, while monitors Tyler, Parsons and McClurkin dressed up like counselors and center directors.

Wernersville CCC celebrated with special snacks, including pretzels and water ice, as well as themed days where staff were encouraged to dress according to a specific topic. Themes included Hawaiian Shirt Day, Favorite Sports Team Day and RED (Remember Everyone Deployed) Day.

Bureau of Community Corrections Region 1 celebrated Corrections Employees Week with a week of treats: each day of the week, employees were gifted a different snack! The event closed out with a “make your own ice cream sundae” day on Friday.

Regional Director Traci Jacobson also delivered baskets of chocolate to the contract facilities to include them in the festivities.
