During August, Kintock reentrants donated school supplies to benefit George Washington Carver Middle and High School students in North Philadelphia. They were able to fill a huge box with pencils, pens, notebooks, paper, folders, binders, erasers, backpacks, and more. Kintock also donated tissues, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and paper, among other supplies.
Gary Moore, who donated to the cause multiple times (and was successfully released to his home plan), said how important it was for him to give back to the community, especially to kids in need. About 25 residents contributed to the drive, as well as numerous Kintock staff.
Principal Darryl Johnson and Assistant Principal Elizabeth Curry expressed their gratitude and excitement when the donations arrived last week, and they snapped a picture of Kintock staff with some of the students who helped unload the car. Kintock looks forward to continuing our relationship with Carver and hopes to recruit some interns from them after graduation!
