SCI Waymart Holds Annual Memorial Day Service

On May 26, SCI Waymart held its annual Memorial Day service at the Pugliese Monument site outside the facility. Deacon Lorent presented a brief non-denominational sermon, and the Honor Guard conducted a wreath presentation. Former Corrections Officer George Pugliese, who was also a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, was killed in action in Iraq on September 28, 2005. It is an annual tradition at Waymart to remember SFC Pugliese at the memorial dedicated to him and his sacrifice.
Waymart thanks all those that have served and especially those that have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend this nation's freedoms.
