SCI Smithfield staff participated in the Salvation Army Angel Tree project this holiday season. Employees made generous donations to those less fortunate to brighten the day of many children on Christmas day.

For more than 50 years, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections has released a newsletter called "Correctional Newsfront." The newsletter highlighted great stories happening in our facilities involving staff, inmates, parolees and anyone involved in corrections in PA. After it became a digital newsletter, it has taken another step into the future by being turned into a blog.

This is the new "Official Newsletter of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections."
