Throughout November, Bureau of Community Corrections facilities across Pennsylvania held food drives to support local food banks and organizations prepare for Thanksgiving and the holiday season.

Scranton Pavilion held a drive to support United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern PA, and several reentrants also volunteered a few hours every week to support the organization.

Geo Scranton raised money for two local food banks: Keystone Mission, which received a  $750 donation, and St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, which received a $940 donation. Scranton CCC also supported St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen by collecting nearly $1,000 of items in October (photo above). Reentrants from Scranton CCC also donate their time serving at the kitchen.
