CTC Braddock began working with Three Rivers Youth (TRY) to host a weekly Life Skills Group in the Resource Center. The Case Management Team will be encouraging the unemployed and underemployed reentrants to participate prior to participating in job search. The next presenter will be Chasity Everett, drug and alcohol intervention and outreach specialist from Three Rivers Youth. The first 2 weeks had a great response with a total of 33 participants.

The Life Skills Group components include:

Employment: This group addresses the need for employment and supports the client in completing a resume. Then the client can come into TRY to complete necessary training for the position they are interested in. This part of the group will be fully supported by the TRY employment and training.

Housing: This group address the need for proper documentation required to apply for housing including birth certificate, PA ID, proof of income, etc. Support will be provided to apply for the documentation as needed. Housing lists and applications will also be provided.
