An SCI Huntingdon employee gives a Heart of JCO representative a check in front of SCI Huntingdon

SCI Huntingdon’s The Altar Rock Jaycees, an inmate organization, recently donated $2,000 to The Heart of JCO, a nonprofit organization based in Huntingdon County. Facilitated by an SCI Huntingdon staff member, the organization receives its money from inmate membership fees and fundraisers. The Altar Rock Jaycees chose to donate to The Heart of JCO because the organization's mission is to help create a kinder world where no child is hungry or excluded due to financial hardship. The Heart of JCO provides food, coats, shoes and Christmas presents to children locally who would otherwise not have one.

"This act of kindness to donate their money to an outside nonprofit organization is great to see and is a true representation of SCI Huntingdon,” said Superintendent John Rivello.
