Chester Staff Support Local Students

SCI Chester's Empowerment Committee led a pair of donation drives to support local students.
During back-to-school season, staff donated money for the Committee to purchase supplies, filling more than 60 backpacks for children of a local elementary school. They didn’t just buy pens and pencils — they donated all the necessary items for students to succeed, including scientific calculators, binders, books, art supplies and more.
After the school supply drive, the Empowerment Committee held a collection for winter weather gear. Members worked with local school counselors, and staff donated dozens of coats, hats and mittens to keep kids warm this winter.
