Rockview Inmates Give Back

On Sept. 26, SCI Rockview inmate organization The Lifer’s Association donated $1,500 to Centre County Parks and Recreation. They raised the money through weekly soda sales and various food fundraisers.
The organization received a thank you note from Parks and Recreation Director Pamela Salokangas. The money will support a Youth Scholarship fund. Last year, Centre County Parks and Recreation helped 112 children with 100% scholarships for summer camps, swim passes, youth sports, and swim lessons.
