Laurel Highlands Hosts CISM Training

On June 22, the SCI Laurel Highlands Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team hosted an all-day training for members of CISM teams from SCI Laurel Highlands, SCI Somerset and SCI Pine Grove. DOC coordinators and trainers A.J. Rost and Lamar Ballard provided an informative and interactive day of learning for the participants. New CISM policies and methods were presented, as well as reviews of best practices during activations. Attendees received a greater understanding of the purpose and mission of CISM and practiced using real world scenarios, followed by feedback and group discussions.
