To Help Fight Blood Shortage, Cambridge Springs Hosts Blood Drive

SCI Cambridge Springs hosted a blood Drive with the American Red Cross on May 26, and a total of 27 donations were collected. The facility was informed that because blood is separated into three components (platelets, plasma, and whole blood), this drive has the potential to save up to 81 lives!
Due to the increase in teleworking, the American Red Cross has lost many of their prior business sites for supporting blood drives; therefore, donations are down. The need is great, and SCI Cambridge Springs plans to host another event in November.
