Seven inmates at Quehanna Boot Camp participated in a 12-week, non-credit creative writing course taught by Penn State University through its Restorative Justice Initiative program.

The course was taught by Taylor Hare and Audrey Gradzewicz, who are graduate assistants at PSU pursuing their doctorates.  Students learned multiple forms of creative writing, such as narrative, short story and multiple genres of poetry. The course culminated with the creation of a "Chat Book," which is a collection of their work put into one book.

A partnership between QBC and Penn State to create a course in which students earn college credits is in its formative stages.
