Benner Township Sergeant, Marathoner Donates Shoes to Support Local Shelter

SCI Benner Township Sergeant Kripplebauer is an avid runner who has participated in many marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Each of these shoes represents a personal story for her — but she let them go to benefit a larger cause.
Sgt. Kripplebauer donated approximately 50 pairs of running shoes to Nittany Greyhounds, an organization that rescues and rehomes retired greyhound racing dogs. The organization gives the shoes to Funds2Orgs and gets a check in return that can pay for adoption expenses.
