At the Quehanna Boot Camp, six soon-to-be reentrants were afforded the opportunity to partake in a college level entrepreneurship course from Penn State University as part of PSU’s Restorative Justice Initiative. The course is provided as an enrichment opportunity at no cost to the students. It is taught by a PSU professor and teaching assistant and is very similar to the course offered at PSU’s main campus. The reentrants enjoyed the opportunity to challenge themselves and to think outside the box. The entrepreneurship course is offered to the reentrants via Microsoft Teams, a process piloted at SCI Huntington, and is hopefully paving the way for future opportunities for reentrants.

Following their final presentations, all six (five male, one female) graduated at the end of the April.
