Seven Tomorrows Hope Reentrants Complete DOC Lead-Abatement Training
On April 28, reentrants from Tomorrows Hope participated in the voluntary Lead Based Paint Certified Renovator course taught by DOC Assistant Chief of Safety and Environmental Protection Kevin Tuite. This course meets the requirements for certified renovators under the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule, required for any renovation work in pre-1978 housing or child-occupied facilities. This course also meets the requirements for HUD Lead Safe Work Practice Training.
Tomorrows Hope’s reentrants attended this class and were excited about the opportunity of receiving this certification. The reentrants spent their day gaining all the knowledge needed to receive their certification. The course concluded with a final exam, which every reentrant passed.
