SCI Coal Township inmate organization LIFELINE partnered with the Clover Hose Fire Company to sell their homemade chocolate covered eggs in April. The inmates had the choice of peanut butter, butter cream and coconut. LIFELINE sold 1,400 eggs to raise $1,200 for the company’s “Truck Room Fund.” The fund purchases new equipment for their 24 volunteer firefighters.

In addition to the money raised via sales, LIFELINE donated $1,400 to this cause.

The check was presented to Megan Janolek of the Clover Hose Fire Company, who was so grateful she teared up and couldn’t “wait to tell the guys.”

LIFELINE also donated another $3,800 to the Kaupas Camp, a local athletic camp for kids. It has donated $15,200 to the camp since its inception.
