Representing SCI Laurel Highlands, The Phoenix Group and the Children's Aide Home were (from left): Activities Manager Josh Fraley (Laurel Highlands), Kevin Nicklow (Children's Aide Home), Mail Inspector Penny Ogline (Laurel Highlands) and Security Captain Jack Seanor (Laurel Highlands).

The Phoenix Group at SCI Laurel Highlands wanted to give back to the community, so they organized a fundraiser amongst the inmate population to benefit a local organization.

The group raised and donated $1,500 to the Somerset County Children's Aide Home. The donation will help the agency provide goods and services, including clothing and personal items for individuals, group outings, and registration fees for events and activities like sports, school dances, and more.

The staff at the Somerset County Children's Aide Home were very appreciative.
